QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

by Dr. Steven Levy
Why are you a volunteer doctor?
Ans. I am a main rehab doctor because I believe in helping people not just on a superficial level but a level deep inside which affects their identity and bodies in many ways including emotionally, spiritually and physically. Many people loose hope after a traumatic event and believe no one can help them.
My objective is to instill positive messaging and energy to those people whose light is not shining as bright as it once had. Simply by returning the body to a more harmonious state with reduced stress on the nervous system and improved mechanical function people generally feel better. I believe many people have neurological, structural or emotional obstacles they do not even realize they have, which prevents them from living their lives to the fullest. Many people have pain which drains them physically, emotionally and financially. Pain is nondiscriminatory it affects virtually everyone at some point in their life.
Pain does not care if you are rich, poor or any particular color. As a volunteer doctor my mission is to assist the natural intelligence of the body that g – d instilled within all of us by removing any neurological impediments that might be causing the patients problems.
Why do I want to help people in a rehab center?
Ans. To me a rehab center is the ideal place to help someone.
People come to a rehab center to improve their body, mind and spirit. Simply by returning the body to a more harmonious state with reduced stress and better nerve and body mechanical function people generally feel better.
Why is a rehab center?
Ans. A rehab center is vital in helping people restore their lives back to health. For me a rehab center is more than recovering from a trauma because it can be used for so much more. For example, preventative healthcare where you actively try to improve your health before you have a problem. Many people think they are in good shape and have no pain so why go to a rehab center. I believe many people have neurological, structural or emotional impediments they do not even realize, which prevents them from living their lives to the fullest.
What is my treatment overview?
Ans. When a person comes into the rehab center they are treated with respect. The patient fills out forms and if they need assistance then it is provided to them. The patient is asked to elicit their goals and objectives. The patient is asked a detailed history with a translator if necessary and has a complete physical exam depending on the extent of the patient’s issues. Then the patient is asked if we can record them by video for educational purposes. I believe having a base line for people to see themselves is important. The patient’s condition maybe common but the way it presents could be unique to that individual person. The patient is asked to stand on a surface which analyzes the persons balance and gait. Each person’s chief complaint is treated plus the underlying conditions the patient may not even realize they have.
What makes this rehab center special?
Ans. What make this rehab center special are for starters the people who work in the facility. The team is a highly educated and genuinely caring group of people who want every patient to succeed with their goals and leave the rehab center with smiles. Each patient’s condition is analyzed by looking at the body as a whole along with lifestyle, eating, sleeping, driving, working, sports, habits, and relationships. We believe taking a whole picture of a person’s life improves the outcome of their treatment.
What type of specialists does this rehab center have?
Ans. The rehab center has a chiropractor, a nurse, a physical therapist, and an occupational therapist, a speech
therapist, a social worker-MSW, a massage therapist, and a weight trainer.

What is Miracles goal in the future?
Ans. Miracles Ezra Worldwide Rehabilitation Center is a state of the art healing facility. The rehabilitation
center incorporates both traditional and non traditional approaches. When a person steps into Miracles their body undergoes a subtle transformation. The smell of eucalyptus stimulates their olfactory senses. While the sound and imagery of water cascading down the wall affects both their oratory and visual senses. The texture of the furniture stimulates their tactile senses. Lastly, we have the sense of taste which is stimulated by the many creations of healthy food sold in our cafe. In Miracles we take a mind body approach to healing. We believe everybody that enters Miracles would benefit by partaking in the various therapies we provide. For example, if someone is angry or depressed from a head trauma their body language expresses not only externally but affects their body internally as well and may manifest in the form of pain. In this case the patient would benefit using neurofeedback training to help bring their brainwave patterns back to a normal level. Additionally, the persons body structurally could have been affected by trauma so we would analyze their whole body from head to toe and follow the protocols for TBI’s or traumatic brain injuries. In Miracles we use a multifaceted approach to healing, which includes many therapies, techniques and equipment. Our mission is to treat each patient with the utmost respect and care. Miracles Ezra World Wide Rehabilitation Center is a unique facility that is a sanctuary for therapeutic restoration of both the mind and body. Miracles main objective is to restore a positive sense of wellbeing in the patient and improve their quality of life.
